Rabib Islam awarded Xanadu Graduate Prize
Congratulations to Rabib Islam for winning the Xanadu Graduate Prize in Quantum Photonics and Information!
Rabib was awarded alongside Felix Hufnagel, a graduate student in the Structural Quantum Optics group at the University of Ottawa.
Xanadu, a quantum computing company, instituted the prize in order to recognize a graduate student who has submitted an outstanding paper on the subject of quantum photonics or quantum information. Rabib was awarded for his paper, co-authored with Anne Broadbent, on quantum encryption with certified deletion, which was presented at TCC 2020.
The Faculty of Science of the University of Ottawa announced the winners of the award on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
