Professor Monica Nevins recognized with Canadian Mathematical Society Fellowship
Professor Nevins was named Fellow of the CMS in recognition of her notable career in mathematics research, teaching and outreach, as well as her service to Canada’s mathematical community.
Maria Perepechaenko receives Mitacs Accelerate award
MSc student Maria Perepechaenko, supervised by Professor Monica Nevins, was recognized for her passion for quantum cryptography, receiving an award to participate in a cybersecurity internship working on post-quantum cryptography.
Rabib Islam makes significant contributions to quantum cryptography
Rabib completed his MSc degree with supervisor Professor Broadbent, presenting his thesis on "Quantum Encryption with Certified Deletion," a new quantum cryptographic scheme, which satisfies a new security notion only achievable using quantum information.
Saeid Molladavoudi begins rewarding career as Data Scientist following a sucessful postdoctoral fellowship
Saeid worked as a postdoctoral fellow under the supervision of Professor Anne Broadbent from 2015 to 2018. He now leads teams of data scientists solving concrete problems, such as the prediction of COVID-19 outbreaks.
